Dr. Kristina Gacesa

A doctorate-trained, nationally certified acupuncturist who practices Traditional Chinese Medicine with a modern clinical mindset — and who wants every patient to understand their own care.

Why I practice this way

Patients should understand their health and their treatment — not just receive a procedure.

Dr. Kristina’s approach grows out of her training in both hospital and traditional settings. She learned Traditional Chinese Medicine as a complete diagnostic system — and practiced alongside physicians, rehabilitation teams and oncology programs. Her conviction from both worlds: patients do better when they understand their care and are active participants in it.

So Dr. Kristina explains your care in both TCM and familiar medical terms. You’ll hear the TCM pattern Dr. Kristina sees and why it guides her treatment. You’ll also hear how that relates to the biomedical picture — your diagnoses, labs and medications — and where the two frameworks simply describe things differently.

Treatment is planned as a course, reassessed with real data, and paired with food therapy and lifestyle recommendations that Dr. Kristina follows up on. And it’s always designed to work alongside your physicians, never in competition with them.

Overall this was a great experience. It was my first time with acupuncture but the benefits were noticed almost immediately! Kristina is very knowledgeable and educated about this practice which makes you feel comfortable with the entire experience. The intake was thorough so she can be person centered for everyone that comes to her. I had neck pain and 1 day later I feel a definite improvement. Will definitely go back!
